    G'day Erikloman

I have run Process Explorer and I'm not seeing hmpalert.dll in the firefox.exe and also I'm not seeing the hmpalert.sys driver running as well see screenshot.

Can you run firefox again, as well as Process Explorer (elevated).
Then in Process Explorer press Ctrl+D to show the DLL pane in Process Explorer. Select firefox.exe in the top pane. Then look for hmpalert.dll in the bottom pane. Make a screenshot of that please.

We just released HitmanPro.Alert 2.0.10 build 44. This new version adds universal support for all web browsers (!) and French language strings. It also fixes a problem with Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013. Changelog:

    • Added: Support for all browsers that are registered in Windows as Start Menu Internet Application. This means that HitmanPro.Alert now supports ALL web browsers, universally.
    • Added: French language.
    • Fixed: Compatibility with Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013. Previous version still caused an issue with the Kaspersky Anti-Virus Service. This has been solved.
Existing users are silently and automatically updated.

Hi Erik, remember the issue I had with MPC-HC and MPC BE? If vaccine is enabled then both would not run, if vaccine is disabled, I can see the hmpalert process in the taskman but flyouts are never shown and hmpalert is updated automatically. If I enable vaccine then it works again.

How do you verify the currently installed version and whether or not it's been updated to the latest version?

Thanks Erik and Mark for all the time you’ve put into this. Working great with everything I’ve tested it on. (Chromium, Chrome, Comodo Dragon and IE10) :thumb:

Go to Program Files and open the program. Current version is displayed on top or you can click on the flyout.

If you’re talking about build (ie, build 44) I don’t think that matters, or not yet anyway. Just 2.0.10. But if you want to check go to hmpalert.exe in Program Files and right click properties -> details.

@Erikloman & Markloman I'm still having the same issue with HitmanPro.Alert 2.0.10 build 44, would you like me to create a minidump or a full dump to solve this issue please advise on how to do this correctly.

What I like about Alert is that, through it's different approach, compared to other MitB protection software, it causes no slowdowns, less chance of compatibility problems and if you use a security suite that already uses some form of MitB protection or something like Trusteer(perhaps your bank even requires usage of Trusteer if you want to be able to get your money back after infection with banking trojan) then you can use it together with Alert because it doesn't try to 'shield' the browser as well, but uses the forensic approach.
If you decide to add a blocking/shielding element, I hope you can keep these advantages or make it optional.

I am not sure from where, but I get random flyouts while I'm using Comodo Dragon. It may have something to do with new tab openings? Using HMPalert 2.0.10 (latest available).

Also, settings menu is grey so I can't change anything. Service is started...
WXP 32bit, SP3. Zemana Antilogger free + WSA latest stable version.
