    hi,
    in addition to my conventional security softwares (av, as, fw), i want to use one of those softwares based on the said (in the title) techs. so, which one out of the below products do you guys recommend? -->

    defensewall or sandboxie or zonealarm forcefield or threatfire(not so good i heard, from the reviews on the net for threatfire).

    secondly, if any of those are ok and better to use together, which one?

    thanks in adv. & regards.

    ThreatFire added too much too boot and load time for me. So I would stay away.

    I'm using defensewall on my laptop and geswall with NOD32 av on my desktop. Both systems work flawless. I use DW on the laptop because my kids use it alot (DW requires virtually no user interaction) and it is very light. I use GW on my desktop because it does more virtualisation and is more customizeable. GW is very light also. really you can't go wrong with DW, GW, or SBIE. Just try them and see what works best for you.

    Use either Defensewall or SandboxIE. Both are fantastic.

    It's been my experience that DW is a highly secure app. I'm not bashing Winpatrol, but they work differently. DW is a policy based HIPS with some virtualisation. It doesn't warn you about everything your pc tries to do. I have only about 15-20 min experience with WP so hopefully some one with REAL WP experience can tell you more about it. DW is well worth the cost.

    Defensewall if you just want one additional app. Defensewall + Sandboxie if two apps are ok with you.

    No.
    Defensewall = Policy based host intrusion prevention system (HIPS)
    Winpatrol = System security monitor

    Defensewall. And you could add Returnil free for occasional use with no problems.
    Good luck.

    In fact when your PC is not to old, you could try DefenseWall and ThreatFire combined. Just make sure you set TF to create a restore point before quarantaining something. Because DW acts as a first frontier, the problem of TF quarantaining a ligitemate file is zero.

    It is my experience that the beta of the new TF did not work that well together with GeSWall as previous version of TF. It somehow investigates all the GeSWall redirects as suspicious.

    New TF is a great application also.

    Good luck trying/deciding
