Hijack protection software for FireFox?

    Hi,
    Is there any hijack protection software for firefox?, i already have
    SpywareGuard installed, but the hijack protection option is for IE only.

    SpywareBlaster works well.

    In firefox that only adds a blacklist of cookies. I'm not aware of any program that specificly monitors firefox in realtime to see if any browser settings has being changed.

    Though you could probably adapt something like filechecker to do the job by pointing it to the prefs.js files in your profile. But it will probably lead to a lot of alarms, depending on how often you change configs, update extensions etc.

    Hi Jeremy2, Process Guard will stop any new processes running including the latest tootkit type threats but your best bet is not to allow javscript to run on untrusted sites, fortunately firefox does not normally use ActiveX which is probably the most dangerous part of IE.
    Also consider using a program like WormGuard which will stop dangerous scripts.
