Yep, it is pretty much standard stuff but I don't get them often anymore so I thought I would post it and let some of the new users see it that might not have ever gotten one of these "golden offers" Hopefully most of our members are way to savvy to fall for something like this.

What's the problem, oh ye of little faith? I have received the money and am now on an all-expense-paid trip to Africa, so I can thank Mrs. B in person.

Oi vey -- such a dill, such a dill!

Why didn't she use an English spelling checker in her email-software ?
Most probably an average, less-knowledgeable user, who needs a visit at Wilders. :)

I think you all got it wrong, this is no con job but a cunningly crafted Zen riddle, and it works, my brain is still tied in a knot from trying to make sense out of it o_O

she may have going by the results I've seen from some speel cheakers I've seen :)

    and then...on a serious note..
    They are triers:
I'm still getting incredibly well crafted "Official" letters from various well known "banks ' and service agencies wanting "verification" checks.

    Just "validate here" requests.
The graphics look so authentic and the language is well crafted: It's almost hypnotic, and it must be successful sometimes.

    The price of freedom...

Probably a consignment of fake paper money. :D How about sending a fake money order and then track to see where it bounces around the financial systems of the world? ;) :D

234 is the code for Nigeria.

    http://www.countrycallingcodes.com/Reverse-Lookup.php?calling-code=234

Yet the email server is in Denmark? What's the matter, no mail servers in Nigeria?

Just think of it like watching TV or at a movie theater. You can't believe everything that you see on the screen.:isay:

your absolutely right Longboard it is serious, we like to have a bit of a giggle here about this type of thing, and like you I've received some great looking emails from various banks asking for my details, although so far none from my bank. What is serious and a real worry is getting it through the heads of a lot of the punters out there that these things are a scam.
This is from an article in the Sydney Morning Herald last year that I'd posted in an earlier thread on scam emails.
financial advisers, lawyers and university professors !!!, o.k. they are from Queensland :D but even so there is something going on here other than stupidity - the old pot of gold at the end of the rainbow seems to be mighty alluring even to the well educated by the look of it, one could be unkind and say that greed may have taken a large part in their being scammed.

I'm still getting emails (plain text) from girls, who want to be your friend, if you are lonely.
After awhile they come up with some heartbreaking story and ask you for money.

    @strangequark:
    yep.
I have received some phishes aimed at the NAB and "which Bank" along with all the others...
The fake NAB mails were almost exact replicas of the web page to look at.
    :D
    Unkind lol.
