My friend's computer was attacked by Sasser recently. I ran Stinger and that seemed to help, but I'm pretty sure there are still some lingering issues. I have also run Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware, both also found and removed some problems.

I just want to make sure the computer is clean before returning it to my friend.

Thanks in advance for the help!

My friend's computer is still running unusually slow. Can someone please check out the HijackThis log above??

    Thanks!

    Hi jvickers01,

First, create a permanent folder on your C: drive and move HijackThis into it. Do not put HijackThis in the Temp folders or on your Desktop as backups there will be easily lost.

Open Taskmanager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) to end the running processe for Isac.exe.

In HijackThis, place a check beside the following items.
Close ALL browsers and any open programs/windows, except HijackThis, and click *Fix checked:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows Update] C:\WINDOWS\System32\lhynkmh.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft Update] lsac.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Microsoft Update] lsac.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Microsoft Update] lsac.exe

(These are optional to fix, but to fix them will save you some resources as they are not needed when you startup your computer)
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RealTray] C:\PROGRAM FILES\REAL\PLAYER\REALPLAY.EXE SYSTEMBOOTHIDEPLAYER
    O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\OSA.EXE
    O4 - Global Startup: Event Reminder.lnk = C:\pmw\PMREMIND.EXE

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode by tapping the F8 key just before windows begins to load.

Find and delete the following listed in bold:

    C:\WINDOWS\System32\lhynkmh.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\lsac.exe

You may have to enable hidden files to find all the files.

I'm afraid I do not know what this is. Was this something you installed and want to keep?
    C:\Program Files\vci\SearchByMedia\SBMPop.exe
If not, then include with the above to be fixed, then try removing it through the Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.

Reboot your computer normally, and post a new log here in this thread.

    Regards,

    snap
