I have Stilen.A and two copies of Backdoor Sandbox A on my computer and cannot rid myself of them. Here is my HijackThis log after using SpyBot S&D.

The Peper/ sandboxer trojan requires special treatment to put it out of your misery!
Please download and run this uninstaller.

In Add/Remove Programs, if Wintools is listed, uninstall it.

Have Hijack This fix all of the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and hitting fix checked. Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing.

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = file://C:\WINDOWS\System32\SearchBar.htm
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

    Reboot, and delete

    file
    C:\documents and settings\owner\local settings\temp\Zn.exe

    folder
    C:\Program Files\Common files\WinTools

These may be hidden files. See HERE for how to show hidden files.

Please post a folloup Hijack this log, and say if your problems persist.

    I could not locate:

    04-HKLM\..Run:(WinTools) C:\Program Files/Common files\WinTools\WToolsA/exe

After deleting other listed files and rebooting, I could not locate the file:

    C:\documents and settings\owner\local settings\temp\Zn.exe

    or folder:

C:\Program Files\Common files\WinTools....which you asked me to delete.

Now the HijackThis.exe download is missing as well or else I can't open it because WinTools when dumped took WinZip with it? Is it time to simply reformat my hard drive? (I've been trying to clean this for over a month)

    Frustrated beyond belief.........

Why don't you download a new copy of HijackThis and post a new log.
You should be practically clean by now.

    Regards,

    Pieter

Here's the newest log. SpyBotS&D is still showing two viruses located in my Registry Key. There were three so perhaps victory is imminent.

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://srch-qus7.hpwis.com/

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://qus7.hpwis.com/
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://srch-qus7.hpwis.com/
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://qus7.hpwis.com/
    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://srch-qus7.hpwis.com/

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [2P6WFAX43ZHE7C] C:\WINDOWS\System32\Dby65.exe
