I noticed Internet Explorer and Firefox kept crashing; pretty soon, that turned into redirect problems and I suspected I had some sort of virus.

I ran Malwarebytes about a dozen times; each time it would show Pum.userwload & Trojan.Ransom and ask me to reboot following removal of those files. Rebooting, however, did nothing to change the problem.

I bought ESET NOD32 and ran the scan in safe mode, after which Malwarebytes STILL detected the two files. Now in normal mode, ESET keeps telling me there are two threats it cannot clean, which I suspect are the aforementioned. Internet Explorer keeps crashing as well.

Can anyone instruct me on how to remove these? Manually or otherwise? Any help would be appreciated, as this is a work-heavy part of the year for me :/
