I restored a lost program to my system yesterday using "My Uninstaller 2008" which I have done on a few occassions previously, after I uninstalled a program I didn't think I needed, then discoverd I did. I have never had any issues with this except yesterday.

My PC normally dual boots where I can choose Windows 7 or XP, with XP being my primary system but both system reside on the same drive in two different partitions--which I originally set up with Paragon.

What happens is immediately following POST, the sytem goes to a Paragon Boot Manager utility without loading windows and simply sits there forever. It indicates a reboot will happen, a counter runs, counts down then the counter strats again and will sit there in that cycle forever.

It appears that the Boot Manager has taken over the boot process and there seems to be nothing I can do.

I have Paragon 9 and inserted the emergency boot disk, looked at the main system drive where drive letters look normal and where Paragon will find both operating sytems. I have attempted a MBR repair or fix, it executes successfully but the system still boots to the Boot Manager Utility that is somehow buried in the boot record somewhere.

I attempted to repair XP with the install disk (not using the repair console) which simply reloades all the Window drivers, and at the first reboot performed by Windows, it returns to the Paragon Boot Manager utility.

Please tell me what I need to do to correct this boot behaviour----PLEASE

    Thanks!!!

this is exactly the same thing that happened to me today!!

It just goes to the Boot Manager and gets stuck!

this needs to be solved ASAP, i cannot work because a retarded program won't let me enter my computer.

Updating the MBR will leave out the Paragon Boot Utility. From the Recovery Disk, right click your hard drive (Basic Hard Disk 0) > Update MBR and restart.

It's very possible that the current build of Drive Backup 9, Hard Disk Manager, or Partition you have is not compatible with Windows 7.

Currently, Partition Manager 10 and Drive Backup 9 SP2 are compatible with Windows 7 and worth the upgrade if you dual boot with Windows 7. For user who already have Drive Backup 9, log into your account to download the latest build.

To check if your all your OS are detectable, in the recovery disk, go to Boot Corrector > Search for Windows > and XP,Vista, 7 should be listed.
