help me with this error message.

i am trying to back up my HDD with acronis true image 9.0 (build 2,302) and when i click go, i get this error message:

E00640068: Failed to Create the Scheduled Task.

Failed to Create the Scheduled Task. Error #1722 - "The RPC server is unavailable.".

What does this mean? how do i get it to work?

Builds before 2337 were quite buggy.
I suggest getting the latest update at the Acronis web site.

 

Besides what Howard suggested (good advice, by the way), it sounds like one or more of the required services are not running, more than likely “schedul2.exe”.
Do a search on “The RPC server is unavailable” and you will find all you need.

 

well, i checked and schedul2.exe was not running. i uninstalled the program and installed the new build. worked fine. thanks for your help.
