    I have installed TrueImage and got an error when the installer tried to compile snapapi module
    Acronis True Image Server Setup failed to build │
    │ kernel modules. Consult /var/log/trueimage-setup.log │
    │ and /var/lib/dkms/snapapi26/0.7.1/build/make.log for │
    │ error messages.
    So I uninstalled and reinstalled and told it to skip the snapapi module
    Per the howto.install I am trying to manually build the snapapi module but get the following error
    Your kernel source for kernel 2.6.9-5.ELsmp cannot be found at
    /lib/modules/2.6.9-5.ELsmp/build or /lib/modules/2.6.9-5.ELsmp/source.
    You can use the --kernelsourcedir option to tell DKMS where it's located.

    here is the command I am using...
    dkms build -m snapapi26 -v 0.7.1 --config /boot/config-2.6.9-34.ELsmp --arch i686 --kernelsourcedir /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES

    /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES is the location that the kernel-2.6.9-5.src.rpm extracted to.
    2.6.5 is the kernel that loads and that is the only kernel rpm to be found on redhat's website.

    Any help in fixing this would be great.

    Thanks
    Scott

    Hello woffordscott,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Linux Server Disk Backup Software.

    Could you please do the following?

    - Download the Linux System Report utility;

    - Run the following command: # chmod +x /path_to_downloaded_file/sysinfo

    - Run the sysinfo file;

    - Collect the .tar file created;

    Please submit a request for technical support with the subject indicating that you want to contact Marian Fadeeva. Attach the collected file to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. Marian will provide you with the further instructions on how to install the software.

    Thank you.
