Heavy Port Scans and DOS Attacks

    Have been experiencing heavy port scans the past couple of days (20+ per hour). Scans originate from several different addresses and are soon followed by four rounds of DOS ("smurf") attacks. ...Sygate's hold'n up pretty well.

    Hi Snook

    That is fairly tame actually with some of the recent worm activity.
    Towards the end of the week I was seeing 700+ and hour. Settled down a little now to between 150-250 per hour.

    Makes you wanna open up the pig skin and get WormGuard. I'm thinking about it.
