that's cus its digital and not analog. the signal gets to the destination or it doesn't that's about it. i use to use a 24" wide screen 100 pound computer crt monitor. and ill tell you it still used analog,man their was no limit on how big\quality a cable you needed for that thing if not you get ringing like mad "ghosting"
