I have just started doing backups and my first three were 103.1 in size for my C partition. When doing the next one it was only 102.3. My other three partitions were exactly the same. All were done within two days and nothing has been added or deleted. Any explanations.

I wouldn't be too concerned. It could relate to differences in compression, but more likely, it is Windows or one of your programs that has deleted some temporary files. My hard disk available space oscillates up and down for no apparent reason, but everything works fine. Just the nature of the beast, I guess.

    Have a great day.

    Regards,
    -Phil

Thanks, I am set to normal compression. What do you use and if different, Why?

I am using normal compression. I have lots of space on my backup drives.

    Have a great day.

There can be and advantage to using Normal Compression. First, it is the most commonly used one so it is the one that gets most testing both by the vendor and the users. In other competing products, going to a higher compression level results in little improvement in the space saved and it is done at the cost of longer processing times to handle the compression. Paragon is likely the same.
