    Hi,

I was wondering if someone might be able to help me out as I have not been able to find the answers I need by doing a search.

Everything seems to work fine with TI when running the software under the OS, the software sees all the drives installed. After I installed TI software, I created the bootable rescue media. Rebooted computer with the bootable disk, loaded TI (full), the software sees the first 4 drives but does not see the 5th drive. When I run the software under the OS, I can see and create a secure zone and the recovery manager on the 5th drive but when I use the bootable disk, the drive is not there. When the TI software is running under the OS, it shows the first 4 drives each being IDE primary master and the 5th drive being SCSI. In my bios setting, I have tried setting ACPI APIC support to disabled but that did not help. I am using the TI WorkStation 9.1 build 3887.

Here is some info on my computer setup:

MOTHERBOARD: Asus A8n32-Sli Deluxe (Bios Ver. 1205)

    2 x IDE connectors
    No.1 - Asus DVD-E616A 16X DVD-ROM
    No.2 - Plextor PX-760A DVD±R/RW CD-R/RW

    4 x Nividia nForce4 Serial ATA connectors
Drive 1: ST3500641AS (Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 500GB, Serial ATA NCQ)
Drive 2: ST3300622AS (Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 300GB, Serial ATA NCQ)
Drive 3: ST3500641AS (Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 500GB, Serial ATA NCQ)
Drive 4: ST3300622AS (Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 300GB, Serial ATA NCQ)

Silicon Image 3132 SATA Controller (Ver. 1.0.14.1)
(Bios Setting = SATA2 Mode NOT Raid Mode)

1 x Internal Silicon Image Serial ATA connector
Drive 5: ST3500641AS (Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 500GB, Serial ATA NCQ)

1 x External Silicon Image Serial ATA connector = Nothing Connected

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 FX60 Dual Core (2847 Mhz Per Core)

OS: Windows Xp Professional x64 Edition Ver. 5.2.3790 SP2 Build 3790

One last question; When using TI running under the OS, will TI copy every file, registry, etc even when the OS or files are in use or does this need to be done using the bootable disk?

Thanks in advance for any help,

    Iszy

It appears that there are no Linux drivers for this SATA connection on the Recovery CD.

The solution is to use the latest build or install the latest drivers or wait for a future build to support your hardware. Alternatively, you could create a BartPE boot disk which uses Windows drivers. There's a sticky about how to create a BartPE disk.
Everything will be backed up even though the files are in use.

    Hello Iszy,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Remote Workstation Disk Backup Software.
Please notice that jmk94903 is correct. When creating disk/partition image Acronis True Image will back up even the data in use by means of Acronis snapshot technology (please see this post for detailed information).

Please make sure your Acronis Bootable Rescue Media is created using the latest build (3887) of Acronis True Image 9.1 Workstation.

Please try booting with "acpi=off noapic" parameter as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

if the issue persists, please collect some information to let us investigate it thoroughly:

Please create Acronis Report and Linux system information (sysinfo.txt) as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

    Thank you.
