have you heard of icerocket?

    i came across this search engine. does anyone know anything about it? it has Blogs News Phone Pics Images and a Free IceRocket RSS builder. also does it have a thumbnail view of the site as well? i cant see it because i think it uses alexa and i might have got rid of it, it looks like it might be like that moregoogle thing o_O

    It looks a bit like Google, but I've never heard of this one before.
    I don't see any thumbnails, but that could be Adblock blocking these to appear.
    Never got an alert about Alexa though.

    the thumbnails are when you do a search. mine don't appear (see screenshot), when i click the image properties it mentions Alexa

    Thanks, but that's what I meant. Sorry for the confusion.
    I don't even see the images or contours, whether in FF or Opera. :doubt:

    Oops, :D thanks, i suppose they're not thumbnails then. i thought that because i was reading about moregoogle which shows you thumbnails of the sites in the search results. moregoogle is a BHO though and did something with advertising which made me not want to try it. thanks for your help, Eldar :)

    Well I can see the thumbnails in Firefox (using Proxo also) as evident by the screenshot. Properties show that the thumbnails are hosted on Alexa's image server.

    Still, I'm unable to see the thumbnails with all my browsers. :D

    thanks, Jade :) i just checked my hosts file and i had about 10 references to alexa, eventually i found the line below, and it works now :)

    127.0.0.1 thumbnails.alexa.com

    i like this search engine with the thumbnails and blogs. thanks for all the help :cool:
