    Let's face it, we all have an identity and sooner or later in the real world that gets spilled over into the internet.

    I'd like to know if anyone has learned any tricks over the years to share with others in helping to remove identity online?

    Here's one thing I know of to help get people started;

    By the way removing data online does not prevent public records from sending new information in the future. To permanently have your records sealed, you will need to contact your county's records department.

    Get your public records closed/sealed...

    THANKS

    Might be better to change your name and start from scratch ;) Better still, don't publically post your real details Anywhere in the first place !

    People fail to realise, that once they put something on the internet, it stays there forever and ever, so it is better to think twice, before uploading an image or commenting.

    If you are really concerned about public information about yourself posted all over the internet, then you should try to keep your "footprint" as small as possible. It's highly unlikely that you will be able to be completely absent from any search, but it's the only way to make the people searching for you to have a tough job :)

    From what I see it's all removable, you just have to contact the site to get it removed...

    As far as getting public information from not appearing in People searches, you need to contact your county to get your public records sealed...

    One thing I think geeks around the world need to do is get with their governments and share the concerns over privacy and how public records like they were considered public 20 years ago for most countries with laws that are still unchanged regarding public records, as though the Internet never exsited, should now be changed to protect people from internet threats.

    Public information should not be public on the internet if you don't want it, there's to much at stake...
