Have you ever noticed this is ESS

I have created virus test file "eicar.com" and saved it on my desktop. Eset detected it perfectly.

But the same file i scan by right clicking on it. Eset just detects it but never removes the file. this is not only limited to eicar test file but also extends to any malware...

Conclusion:
ESS or NOD32 will only detect malware when i do a custom scan by right clicking a file or folder that contains virus and never cleans them..
Is there any other option or setting in ESS so that it automatically cleans whenever i do a right click scan...

 

Did you actually select "Clean with ESET Smart Security" and not "Scan with ESET Smart Security" in error ?

It works now.. ESS is great....

I didn@t know about it either. It goes exactly this way: Advanced Scan->Clean Files not as you said
