    Hello Everybody,

Could you help me with this alert given after the hash check?
Does anyone know what it means? Thanks a lot in advance.

Errr.... too generic! You need to be more precise... Is it after you did a file hash then a follow up hash check failed? or did it come out of the blue?

Do you mean: "X Error - Doesn't exist" Error? That means you never had a hash produced prior to the scan for the selected file.
Do you mean: "X FAILED" That means the hash is now different from the previous scan.

    I hope this is helpful...

Sorry for my ...errr being too generic.

After running hash check I regularly have the following message:

    Verification: Error - doesn't exist
    Process name: system
    Folder:

That is what I get from time to time.
    Thank you for your efforts.

    Hope it helps.

    Hi,
Here something that may be of assistance if the component in question is the System.dll from .net

System.dll (.NET Compact Framework) is a component from the software .NET Compact Framework version 1.0.0 by Microsoft Corporation. System.dll version 1.0.0 has a file size of 256,512 bytes, and is most commonly found under the directory "WindowsCE" with a creation date of October 18, 2004. This is not a known spyware, adware, or trojan component.

System is a "Generic Host" memory resident process used to handle a series of subsystems for which content may change dynamically and it could be miss detected (The Intermittent nature of the fault perhaps?). It does use network related functions. Primarily local loop for UDP & TCP.
I have included a pic of the process with the "Live" content included to illustrate it.

    Hi Hermes,

Thank you for your efforts to assist me.

Probably it has something to do with .NET Compact Framework 1.1 that has been uninstalled from my system. However, there must be some remaining parts and probably this is what hash check is missing. Think I'll have to reinstall it.

Thank you again for the useful info. :D
