More than half (56%) of UK workers believe they are monitored by their boss at work, research from the TUC claims.

OK, ~50% fear it. But probably ~100% are being monitored, right?

I mean, workplace monitoring was common decades ago.

A fair days work for a fair days pay. Nobody should take personal advantage at workplaces they're not entitled to take and do stuff on the companies dime on the sly. If bosses need to instantiate measures to stop that that's fair- if employees are forewarned about those measures and then ignore them, they can't complain. However cameras etc pointed at your face absolutely crosses the line, and as for monitoring out of work hours, that shouldn't happen, unless of course you're using the bosses computer for your own purposes. This is about common sense.
