'The initial response from experts was, “’We’ve known that for years,’” and, “It’s not a big deal,” Hickey said.' ~ op cit

The initial response from everyone else was oh ****!

Well, it's a good job all the experts agree on this. Oh, hold on, they don't. Situation normal all forked up then.

Made me wonder some more about the Raytheon employees.
Raytheon were the world leaders in drone and remote piloting technology.
In early 2001 senior Raytheon employees were assigned to a special project which required them to be away from home for days at a time and which their friends and reletives say they were not allowed to discuss.
On 9/11 those Raytheon employees were killed.

    On flight 11
Peter Grey (Vice President of Ops electronics)
Ken Waldie ( Sen Qual control electronics)
David Kovalian ( Sen Mech eng electronics )

    On flight 175
Herbert Homes ( Exec seconded to DOD ).

    On flight 77
Stanley Hall (Director of project management-Electronics warfare)
    Charles Falkenberg ( GPS expert)

In addition, the Raytheon offices were destroyed at the impact site on the 91st floor of WTC2
