Err no, that picture is Safari. Unless you're trying to tell us an O.S. suddenly became a browser.

I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic about the 5th being firefox, not the 4th.

Well, it is true that everyone eventually has to use the toilet! (If it's working, of course)

Pretty much what I described here: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=1920044&postcount=3 It's quite simple, the only way MS will fix that is to continue to pump out good browsers without waiting 7 years inbetween each release and eventually time will kill the bad history. You can't expect to bring out a good browser and people will suddenly forget how they wouldn't touch IE6/7/8 with a 10ft pole. It's quite simply a matter of MS proving that it actually cares about its browser again for the first time since the netscape war.

Why not ? The thread invited me to read the site, so I obliged, wasted my time and gave my verdict. Nothing wrong in that. Like watching paint dry. Enjoy the thread, but excuse me, I don`t wish to Tango.

A shout out from a competitor..wonder if that's enough to up Opera's share a percentage point or two, even if temporarily? :D Really though, every joke I make about Opera is in regards to their marketing. The browser by itself is just fine, although there are some things they should work on.

I doubt it. I've seen Chromium dev's talk about Opera too saying "If we were trying to compete with Opera for having the browser with the most features we'd definitely lose" or something along those lines. I've also seen Chromium dev's saying that Chrome isn't the right browser for everyone and Firefox might be better suited to some users... and yet Firefox market share plummets while Chrome's rises.

Opera's just too "niche" a browser. I don't really get the appeal.

I'm not sure what you mean by it's "too niche". Niche to me would be those browsers (or any software really), built and used for a particular purpose. For instance, the now gone Flock. It was used almost exclusively for the social media crowd and was heavily tied to Facebook and such. Opera, like Chrome, IE, Firefox and so on, are simply general purpose browsers. They have no specialization (and no, extensions, sandboxing and such are not specializations, they are features), they are simply used to browse the general web.
