I'm posting this to provide some feedback and perhaps this can help others. I recently did a backup/restore using the Hard Disk Manager 12 Suite. Everything seemed to go well, until I rebooted. I was then at a prompt that showed Grub Rescue >. These are the following steps that I took to get it working. Use this information at your own risk.

Type these commands and press Enter after each line:
    Code:
    set root=(hd0,msdos6)
    set prefix=(hd0,msdos6)/boot/grub
    insmod normal
    normal
This should allow you to use the Grub menu and boot.

Once you have booted into Xubuntu/Ubuntu, run this command in terminal.
    Code:
    sudo grub-install /dev/sda
    After rebooting, Grub was fixed.

I tested this with Paragon 12 and Xubuntu 12.10.
