Hi, i bought Nitro phone Pixel 6a with Graphene OS installed couple months ago from Nitrokey company based in Germany. I first tested its stock apps but i was a little dissapointed about its security. The phone was included with all the sensors, microphones and cameras. There is an option to remove all of them for better security and privacy, but i did not choose to do so. Then i install play services with no special privileges to install my list of security apps from google play store. One of them is Trustd mobile security, formerly known as Traced app. I was shutting the phone off each night and after 10. pm in the evening the Traced app reported that camera access was detected but currently it was not able to find the app responsible for this camera event. Access Dots app was also configured but it was nothing in the events it just showed green dot indicating that camera was accessed. The funny thing is that the camera was blocked by the os and with Camwings. It can do no harm. I installed the third app from Erfan Rouhani (anti spy) with the option to monitor or block the camera. This was the only app that correctly detected the app that was accessing the camera. The date and time matches with the traced app log. See the attachments. It was the Launcher app accessing the camera. It is a funny thing again that this app has no permissions at all to do that. There is also no green indicator on the right corner of the phone just after the shutdown. Dont you dare to think that i am too paranoid but this are just my findings of the Graphene OS phone. Your opinion is more than welcome, thank you!
