got ESS from Purplus site, have trouble with u/p

    Purplus had a sale on NOD32 and Smart Security
    Today I purchased a 1-Year, 1-PC current version of ESET Smart Security
    After payment, Purplus sent me a download link and my username/password for activation.

    The download link is here: http://www.eset.com/download

    I went to the site and chose the already purchased option. When I tried to download, it asked for my u/p. It denied me several time, whether I typed it manually or copied & pasted. Finally, I gave up.

    I went to CNET and downloaded ESS. I installed it with the u/p provided by Purplus.

    The problems continued. It says my license is valid but only until 1/28/2012.
    The larger issue is that it won't update my virus definitions. It says my u/p is invalid. I have contacted Purplus and have received no response yet.

    Any ideas if the problem could be on my end or does this sound like a u/p error by Purplus?

    I used to shop at Purplus but hesitate to do so anymore. They were fine a couple years ago but last year I bought a license for KIS and Nero that were both blacklisted not long after I bought them. I would give them the opportunity to make it right though. They should respond with an offer to fix it or refund your purchase.
