GoogleSharing is a new Firefox Add-on & Anonymizing Proxy Serivce. It is designed to anonymize all traffic that you send to Google Services that do not require a login. For example, if you use Google Search or Google Maps and you are not logged in, it will anonymize anything that you send to them and anything that they send back will be sent to you through the proxy. With the add-on, it does not proxify all of your internet traffic. It only sends Google Tracking related traffic through the proxy. If you browse a non-Google website traffic will be sent to the internet normally. If you use a Google service that requires logging-in such as Gmail or Docs, it will be sent normally as well and not through GoogleSharing. See GoogleSharing.net for a better description of the service, how it works, and why it was created. The add-on can be downloaded from the Firefox Extensions website by clicking here.

I made this thread to so people can discuss this add-on and questions about it can be answered by users. Is it safe? Can this be trusted? Has anybody looked at the source code(GoogleSharing claims to be Open Source)? Does it work the way it is supposed to? Is it as fast as they claim? Any bugs that you have encountered? Like Dermot7 asked, how effective is it? What do you think of it? Please discuss the service, ask questions, answer questions, try it out, etc, using this thread. :thumb:

Just a heads-up. GoogleSharing currently doesn't work with FF 3.6.

Seems to be working on 3.6 for me. See tray beside NoScript.
