    I'm glad, and I hope more websites follow. I can't believe Microsoft want to support a 2 generations old browser until 2014.

    Isn't the XP deadline around 2012? Maybe if that dies we will see less IE6.

    2014. The fact is, it's time to move on. IE6 is ancient in computer years.

    Keep your systems updated to the latest browser versions as they incorporate fixes for the latest known security breaches.

    Yes, but unfortunately many people will keep using IE 6 until they get rid of their computers unless they are forced to upgrade. If all the major sites started blocking IE 6 that would get the ball rolling. It would also probably get a lot of people upset, but that's unavoidable :)
