A bit of a surprise Google isn't facing a whole lot more class action suits respective to invasions of privacy more than only the mobile phone arena. Then again, the "alleged" fact that Google is a privacy vampire seems okay with a consensus to merit Google's inherent monopoly on search engines, etc. The irony is while knowledge is power with Google's supreme and ubiquitous search engine, ignorance is bliss if users only knew just how much Google tracks, records, and disperses user's privacy for sale. Quite likely at this point that Google is too massive and persuasive to care about lawsuits that are trivial to the income statement bottom line. It sure is a nice gesture though.
Most people do not care and it is their choice. To be fair Google isn't outright selling user data (unlike Facebook), but rather selling way to reach category of users.
