Not sure of its capabilities but its free today for any PC owner who wants to take a look. http://www.glarysoft.com/giveaway/index_gu2.php
I prefer Kerish Doctor even though have Glary Utilities installed on my XP. Also, I tried that link and entered an address, then nothing happened.
Hi Tarnak Would be interested in our views re. Kerish Doctor, offline of course, as I have looked at it a few times and would be interested in knowing how it compares to the heavyweight in the area, i.e., System Mechanic, AVG PC Tuneup, Advanced System Optimizer, Advanced SystemCare PRO, etc., Thanks, Baldrick
I don't like any of those. Ime System Mechanic will eventually bork your OS. And AVG ruined Tuneup Utilities. Couldn't help myself sorry.
Hi zapjb Many thanks for the input. I have to say that I have used System Mechanic for well over 10 years and it has never caused me an issue but has saved me from many...so I am interested by your comments about it. But then again I am always looking to move with the times and if Kerish Doctor proves to be more effective (for me) than System Mechanic I may well change...hence the question. Again, thanks for the input. Regards, Baldrick
Only ones I trust these days are the afore mention Glary & JetClean. Never tried Kerish cause afaik there's no free version, just a trial.
I use System Mehcanic and AVG PC Tuneup (as well as others). Both are safe to use, and shouldn't cause any issues. I only continue to use System Mehcanic, because Iolo is still giving a way 6 months licenses, and I register for another free license every 6 months. @Baldrick Kerish offer a fully functional trial version, so you can try it and see if you find it useful.

Hi roger_m / Tarnak Thanks for the further input. Have downloaded a copy and am giving the 15 day trial ago...and will see how it goes over the next week before deciding to plumb for that deal...which on the face of it seems very good. Regards, Baldrick
Nah. I'm not buying this kind of software. Seems like throwing away money to me when there's great free alternatives.
reason for such giveaway that users have learned that such products will trash a proper running system and wont spend money for it neither will install it. same for antivirus software, but thats another story. its ok to have the system a bit cleaned up. a former glary gu user it messed up my proper working windows 8.1 2 or 3 years ago and so i abandoned all builds here, same for wise. tuneup dropped with windows 7 - same usage like under xp but windows 7 was damaged so badly i even could not recover and had to reinstall. glad this was only for testing purpose, first steps. kerish i only took a look this year and IObit is absolutely no go. some major reason for me is that all such toolboxes come with x features which are combined. for defrag it offers me cleaning up wth? just defrag and dont bother. what i read so often "i used [xyz] cleaner and now [abc] is gone, how to recover?" i used [xyz] cleaner and now [abc] is not working, i cannot perform [def]" some of you are specialists, me either, but the common people dont care "you have trouble or less performance? "OUR TOOL will help you out" and such nonsense.
Thanks I am running Kerrish Dr 2017 now I like it enugh to buy it but their system is borked at least for me, purchase will not go thought to take advantage of the sale.
2 days ago, I used their system to purchase a 2 year (3 computer) license for 2 years for $9.95 (US).
I am waiting until the last day to take up the offer, just to see if a new version is released, i.e v4.70...
This program has never harmed my system, XP, in the last two years, that I have used it...Also, I now have it running on the Surface Book, since I got that a few months ago. I trust it when it recommends the junk files to be deleted. Sometimes, I might not allow it to delete a particular file/s, e.g. dmp files, until another time, later on.
I tried it again today and it worked but I had to use a CC it was not working with pay-pal for me for some reason.
I just did a scan on the Surface Book, and literally thousands of detections, which I have allowed to be removed, as well:
That won't happen. Version 4.65 has only just been released. The previous verson 4.60 was released in July of 2014. So, it was well over two years before they released a new version. While Kersih Doctor continually receives upates, actual new versions with significant changes are few and far between.
