Has anybody created any rules in GeSWall Pro to isolate SRWare Iron browser on access? I've tried the application wizard and it completes successfully but when I open the browser I am unable to navigate to any site. It works fine unisolated.

    Thanks 1000db

    Here they are

    Set File to Allow for

    %HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders\Cache%
    %HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders\Cookies%
    %HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders\History%
    %HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders\Local AppData%\Chromium\

    %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Chromium\
    %PROGRAMFILES%\Iron\Profile

    \Device\NamedPipe\chrome

    %TEMP%
    %TMP%

    %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\Download

    Set File to Redirect for
    \Device\NamedPipe\lsass

    Set File to read only
    %USERPROFILE%\My Documents

    END

    Explanation

Red is the directory you put Iron in

Blue: Should be the directory you selected in Iron for downloads
Green: When you use the trick to allow Iron only to write to you download directory, then Green should be Read Only, otherwise ALLOW

    Cheers

    Sorry had not noticed it

Iron and Chrome have a download directory specified, when you allow Iron/Chorme WRITE access to your download directory, but READ ONLY to your documents.

See original post, I have made it bold and italic

    Set WRITE ALLOW FOR
    %HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders\Local AppData%\Chromium\
    %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Chromium\
%USERPROFILE%\My Documents\Download <= the Download director of IRON

    SET READ ONLY FOR
    %USERPROFILE%\My Documents

When you use CHROME, replace CHROMIUM by CHROME (or GOOGLE/CHROME I am not sure) in the above rules
