I am happy to say that 2.8.3 is working, perfectly. About time.:doubt:

But I am totally pleased with how it is working and damn, it still is the least restrictive software on your PC. Mine is flying. Good work Geswall.:thumb:

You dudes better get those lifetime licences before Aigle has them changed.:cautious:

Wow they released quite a few versions of 2.8 in such a short period of time! Anyone know what changed or was fixed from version 2.8 to 2.8.3? Is there a change log somewhere?

    ps :
    LOL!!!

My God, I did not knew that 2.8.3 is also out. So many versions in short time. It was better to launch a beta first.

Are there any major differences between the paid and free versions? I looked at the comparison and it didn't look like the paid version has any must-have features. Can't afford to buy it.

Free version is enough for many users. Just try it.

Before I try it, should I keep the firewall I have? Not sure the network protection in GESWALL is easy to understand.

Keep your FW, leave the network protection of GesWall at the moment. You can try it once you are familiar with GW.

I'm using the trial version, and can't get GesWall to pass any of the Zemana tests. I'm running them as isolated, too.

2.8.3 free version vs Zemana tests.
GW did not notify me of any intrusions.
But the loggers were not able to do anything. The test box remained a blank screen.
I think I'm interpreting this correctly as a Pass .
Avira didn't catch anything in the test.
Prevx Edge nailed a couple of them as 'attacks'.

Yes, I will just block them, no notifications. You can see the log to know the details. However u can switch on policy notifications if u like to see them. Right click tray icon> policy notifications> enable for all resources.

Yes, I see the G icon. The log says:

keyboard.exe ISOLATE on start from explorer.exe

But then I see no blocking messages and the keys show up in the program.

Hmmm.... sure a bug or a conflict. What other security software you are running?

Wish you could write to the support.
