It is really strange that opera, firefox, and mozilla1.7.5 don't use activex but firefox and mozilla work on G-Mail and opera won't. Anyone figure why??

If I have it represent itself as anything other than IE 6 it will not open G-mail at all?

Not unless Kav5 or Kaspersky antihacker has a proxy running. Oh wait, Kav and e-mail scanning is a proxy I think. But why would the others work when activex is required and they don't have it.

Only thing I can think of, GMail thinks you are using IE without activeX.
It identifies what browser you are using I suppose and knows Mozilla based browsers don't use activex.

In theory that sounds right, But if I change what browser it identifies as, it won't open G-Mail at all.?

Are you sure that the compenent that is causing the problem is ActiveX and not Javascript?
