    I would not call it advertisement.
    It might look like one probably because of the copy/paste, but this is the release of the new version 2012 which is new.

    Just let it run for couple of days, do a full scan and you'll see how light and fast it is :)

    Thanks...I have a license for 2011 but haven't used it for a while. I sure want to give 2012 a good look!

    that shot was taken with my usual daily activity not just when the computer is idle, for me that usage is acceptable and G data works silently for me

    Could you check i/o reads and writes, too? :) To me, that's much more important than RAM usage.

    but Bitdefender was heavier, and slows everything down

    i must say that you must try these 2012 as i tried bitdefender (i have paid versions of those )

    For modern computers it's not a lot, even cheap laptops and netbooks are coming with 2GB as minimum, and decent Laptops and desktops like 3GB-4GB :D
    But remember, i never said everyone has a recent desktop/netbook/laptop :D

    I sure agree with you there my friend... but what if someone buys the pc for computing purposes u know..like run basic sql database, do some dreamweaver, photoshop work,, maybe uses visual studio and ms office package too..not just run av and firewall and hips then? do u still think they have a lot of resources available to feed?:D

    Hahaha i forgot that too, i forgot to mention power users :D (Extremely intensive works) But that's another story i guess :rolleyes:
