O.K. guys & gals... I can handle cigarette ashes & Guinness drippings in the keyboard... but fuzzy wuzzies in da mouse is gittin' to me... Should I consider this a virus/worm/trojan attack since it makes my 'puter marginal & even unusable?... Is there some software I can download to eliminate the problem? I've tried scanning with TDS3, McAfee, Bazooka, and a bunch of other stuff but nothing detects/cleans it... TIA

    stephysat,

    You are among friends...

    Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear.
    Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair.
    Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't fuzzy,
    Wuzzy?

Amen to that -- my relative new system came with one from Logitech.

I'm not crazy about nearly two megs of drivers (or at least that's the installation kit for them) -- but it sure is a delight to no longer have to open it and clean the ball and rollers just about every time I blinked.

Yup, that optical solution sounds like the way to go... what with cat hairs, dog hairs, sand, alligator scales, and who knows what else floating around, the fuzzy wuzzies build up quick like... if I vacuumed up my office every year or two like the wife hounds me to do I'd might not need it, but who wants that hassle? So long as the optical thingy can read thru the dust & stuff it sounds good to me!
