    Hi,
Having decided to Freeze my current Setup, I elected to position this on an external drive. On the desktop, I left an empty folder to see what may happen.

On reboot, I was faced with a message from FD-ISR, "Please Wait." After about 5 minutes my desktop re-emerged. Of course, the empty folder had gone. But is the delay of 5 minutes a normal delay?

5 minutes seems long but the way freeze works is to make a copy and then compare and correct at reboot. On an old machine I found that this took too long for me ( an extra 40 seconds) but 5 mins seems long. The fact that you are using an external drive might also help explain the slowness.

If you want to work this way and can solve the problem then fine. Otherwise
you might want to consider using Deepfreeze or Returnil to free a snapshot or two.
