    Hey there

    I have a big problem.

I changed cities and ISP's and now I am behind a router and instead of pppoe I am connected by lan or wifi

First I couldn't send any meail - needed to make a rule for icmp type 3 code 4

Now I get just systemfreezes without any reason when connected to internet. Its only on upload. Connection is 600 down and 256 up

I am on winxp2 standard lns 2.05p3, automated ruleset (phantom) from this page

    Ideas?

    Ruben

Ruleset attached - rename to .rie

    Hi Ruben,

Do you confirm Look 'n' Stop is the reason of the freeze ?

Perhaps knowing if the problem is related to the Application Filtering or Internet filtering would help. Could you make some test to determine that ?

There is no open case like this currently.

    Regards,

    Frederic

You ruled out Look ā€˜nā€™ Stop the moment you uninstalled it completely and re-booted and ran further tests and still experienced the anomaly, let us know if you figure it out.

Regarding sending email problem, the ICMP type 3 code 4 is necessary because your connection setup is poor and the packets is fragmenting, but you can easily secure this rule a good amount by specifying the IP address.
