    what if i used this to convert a normal video. Would the quality be at least better or is this just for converting hd videos to your computer?

    I am not writing this to discourage the use of this software but on the developers web site it states the following:

    A part of the above statement is not true. You can not up-convert a SD video to a HD video by just using a software! In order to get a HD video, you have to do the original recording in HD.

    Had this been true all SD DVD's would have been converted to Blu-Ray's by now.
