Six months free is better than paying for it.

Yeah, of course it is. But I mean the thread is quite misleading: "free Norton AV". It's not free, just a trial.

How many months make the frontier between 'free' and 'trial'? And who decides that? Are the concepts 'free' and 'trial' incompatible? Who are we? And where do we come from?

How about gratis? I don't know about the rest of you but I'd rather gratis than free. Although, if it's gratis with a rebate that would be super! Not the credit card rebate but the cash rebate. Can someone post one of those? Oh, and something on a CD because I'm still on a dial up here. :D

cleaned up a NASTY infected computer today that was running norton internet security. it was REALLY bad. im assuming even though it said it was running and all was okay i have a feeling it was not actually doing anything but looking like it was. maybe some malware stopped it from doing its job not sure but this was one of the worst systems i have worked on in a long time. im a bit surprised honestly im not a fan but its usually not this bad.
