My WMP 10 already has lots of nice songs from my own music CDs that I bought. I find that its enough for me already. I don't like to download music from other sites. I buy my own music CDs from music stores outside and upload the songs to my computer.

It appears to be a site for newly found artists to submit their work for evaluation.

Have you not read the terms and conditions yet? It seems you should read them before you make a post here advising other members to do the same..... Pretty bad when I ask you a question and you have to go back and read it....

No need to worry, I had already checked. I was going to quote some of the Terms and conditions. Needed to go back to get some quotes :D

I like the fact that a big site like CNet is helping to promote independant artists. By the look of their terms and conditions, it looks like they're playing it pretty carefully. As far as trusting the site, I would probably trust it as much as any of the software on their site. Mostly good, but things slip through now and again. There's lots of downloads there and although they do a decent job of weeding out the junk, they would probably need a bigger staff to really make sure everything is quality.

Here's some more free small label music to download, or even better- stream:

Check out their pricing scheme, you decide how much you want to pay for a CD! :)

Haha... he got your number there... ROTFL

    Dont get hacked!
This is pretty standard nowadays... Remember.. to any US court.. it's irrelevant that you got hacked... If misdeeds are conducted using your PC, it's your fault... which means that if a sypware product reveals your password to any "h4xor dood"/hacker and he misuses it... It is autmatically your liability....
    Have a nice day.

My 2 cents. Its about as safe downloading from CNET as it is from any other big name 2nd party provider. The only thing safer would be to get it straight from the source.
