    I tried this and it looks like a keeper. I like portable apps when I can get them and this fits the bill. I installed it on my virtual machine and then copied the Program Files/SIW file and copied it to my physical machine. Appears to work well.

    I was impressed that when it was installed on the VM, it identified the VM and listed all the emulated components....on the other hand, I am easily impressed when it comes to this type of thing.

    I suggest getting SIW direct from the SIW website and avoiding the crap-ware add on.

    The Uniblue installation is entirely optional with this utility.This is the business licence too so it can be used (legally) on client's computers :thumb:

    @whitedragon551

    Thanks installed it :) Been using the free version for years, very useful. Thought having the the $69.00 paid version would mean a big difference in extra tasks etc. But according to this

    siw.gif

    apart from CSV Report, XML Report, XML Report i don't see a $69.00 difference o_O

    I can confirm that the other stuff that GAOTD wants to install, is optional.

    On launching it it said Freeware ? Anyway i used the inbuilt updater to get the latest v2010.3.10.0 which says

    System Information for Windows 2010 (build 0310) Freeware Version

    It seems you dowloaded the installer from their home page (SIW 2010-build 0310).

    You need to install with Giveaway of the day the file setup.exe to get this:

    System Information for Windows 2010 (build 0311) Business Version

    There was an issue with Belarc storing system information reports in an insecure way that allows Google searches for Windows Serials to access them.

    It does ask for some useless crap to be installed, however you cant just get it from their website either. You need the GAOTD to get this specific version free. I got mine from GAOTD this morning and I can confirm the version numbers.
