Can someone please help me remove this application? ESET found it today while in Safe Mode. It locks up my computer at the desktop.....if not this application something does. Thank you so much.

I wonder why my Norton IS 2009 didn't find it?

P.S. It actually found two (2) of the same application!!

This is potentially unwanted application - a toolbar.
If the online scanner didn't remove it , I guess you can uninstall it from your Control Panel -> Add or remove programs applet

No , it isn't Ask toolbar that locks the computer . It could be a software conflict or malicious software .

When ESET finished it said it deleted them.

I'll see what Norton IS 2009 finds and report back.

    Thanks

ASpace, when did Norton become so generous?

I find it hard to believe Norton would allow me to upgrade to 2010 for free. You wouldn't kid me would you?

Has anyone here been able to upgrade for free?

Symantec is no longer the Symantec from the past . This is all I'll say .
And no , I am not kidding - the upgrade from 2008 to 2009 is free , as well as 2009 to 2010 .

Thousands of users have been able to upgrade for free - including me . I use Norton AV 2010 on one of my personal laptops (previously 2009).

Glad to hear that ASpace. Will it give me 2010 free for the remaining 152 days of my Norton IS 2009 subscription? Is that how if works? Thanks for the tip.
