Why would anyone want an older unsafe version of Opera, with flaws in it that some attacker could take advantage of? o_O

Tell that to those that are using Kerio 2.15, ZoneAlarm 3 (and older), etc.

Opera 7.54 is MONTHS old, not years. Sheeeesh... :(

Every browser has it's problems. None are immune.

Up untill Opera 8.1, Opera could be spoofed.

I am still using firefox 1.0.4 and many other older programs and they are all stable and I did not have any problems with firefox 1.0.4 :)

    Fine, I agree with you.

But when you are aware that there is a better and safer version available at no cost (yeah I know those ads on the top can be irritating sometimes) then it does not make sense to go back to the previous version even if it is without the ads. Atleast I would not like to downgrade. :)

If you mind the ads and would like to compromise a bit on security then having 7.54 for free is not a bad option.

So the choice is betwwen those ads and the security...

    Cheers

    Akshay.

If you follow Oleg's link and register 7.54

you can then get a key to version 8 for less than half price about £10 by following the CT mag link once again
