Free AVI to DVD Program?

I am searching for a program which will create DVDs from AVI and MPEG files. So far I have only found shareware and junk. Can anyone suggest a free one which works?

WinX DVD Author is a good free option I've used myself:

Beware of Sothink free versions it imprints watermarks ads on your converted videos. Sonne DVD Creator will create the DVD's, but it will costs to burn them, no burn for free.
