There is WinOptimizer Platinum 3, Burning Studio 6 and Photo Commander 4 plus some other free programs. Full licensed products.

Also, here is a link for Ashampoo Office 2006 free-

Looks like Burning Studio 6, Photo Commander 4 and Office 2006 are also compatible with Vista.

For more info on the products you can see their details on the ashampoo site-

Wow-why didnt I get that email?

I can vouch for Burning Studio and Office, both excellent products well worth installing, even if they arent the latest versions.

Tried some of the others-some arent what you would call essentials!

I downloaded the Office 2006. I'm a sucker for a free word processor. Got too many on this machine. I've only played with it briefly, but in the short time I've used it, I kind of like it.

    Thanks for the heads up!

Though I can't obtain Photo Commander's full free code :doubt: The link provided by the program doesn't work.

EDIT: No matter... I got it from VNU's site and a latter version (4.20) :)

I mostly use OpenOffice 2.3 and use it a LOT. I occasionally use AbiWord, and RoughDraft which is pretty simple but a darned good word processor. The several others just sit on my hard drive just because if I removed them, I'd want them back. I also have Word 2002, but it's one that seldom gets opened.

I've got work going on all of them. When I run out of ideas for one thing, I switch word processors and try to get something done on another. Changing the word processor, in my feeble mind, makes things feel different if that makes any sense.

This Ashampoo Office seems pretty nice and another keeper. It's quick to load and, after only a couple of hours of playing with it, I'm growing to like it. Two or three hours isn't much of a test, but it'll get a good workout in coming days.
