Is there any other interface, modified or standard that allows for fraction display scaling other than the KDE 5? It's very difficult on a 16:10 monitor to have a 1:1 display and see things clearly. I'd prefer 1.2:1 or 1.3:1. Mint, Mate and Cinnamon only offer 100% scaling or 200%, and that's really no help either.

Unity did that ... :) Still does if you go for 14.04 or 16.04.

Isn't Unity defunct as of 17? If so, that's a shame.

I'm using Ubuntu 16.04.3 with Unity. It supports any fractional scaling on my Acer 4k 32'' LED. Currently I am using 150% and everything looks amazing - comparable to the iMac retina display.
