I could be wrong but I was told that it was a BETA until now. My aplologies if that is incorrect.

In the "Help" menu, click "Check for updates"

    Hello,
It was not beta. But it's an upgrade to a newer version.

Does it read from the browser or do i still have to save it, and then read?
Does it comply with the latest pdf standard?
    Is it missing anything important?
Why, oh why doesn't Open office read pdf? Or it does already?

Do you know if it's missing anything important to read some pdf's?

It must have been just a build update, This one is build 1312. The changelog had not been updated at the website the last time I checked.

I jettisoned Adobe Reader some time ago, I haven't looked back. Foxit, I love it. One thing though "look for update" showed nothing on build 0912.

The program updater on most of these type programs is usually slow getting updated. I got the new build this morning by using the download link that was provided in the updates post.

    Change Log-

    - This build improves compatibility with printers and increases printing speed to Postscript printer.
    - It also fixes several bugs, including bugs for non-western, non-cjk fonts.

    Hello,
Foxit opens pdfs in IE but not FF. But that's hardly an inconvenience for me.

    Hi,

    I don't understand this.
    I don't have Adobe and I don't use IE.
But I use FF and Foxit and there are no problems.
    Also no probs with Opera.

    Hello,
I'm an idiot. It works in all browsers.
Sorry guys, I'm a bit sick with flu, not at my best 100%.
