Per the problem mentioned in this thread, we will be moving the forum to another network which should restore access to everyone who is currently unable to reach the forum.

The downtime will start in approx 6 to 7 hours. We'll be down for a time period of perhaps 3 hours. There will also be DNS resolution issues. (Whenever you make a DNS change, there are typically many periods where either no name resolution occurs or perhaps incorrect resolution is provided.) Eventually, DNS will propagate and the new IP address for wilderssecurity.com will be provided universally.

The old IP address for this forum, which we've used for this past 5-1/2 years, is: 65.175.38.194

The new IP address we are moving to is: 66.227.46.190

After the downtime has completed, the forum will open on the new server at that new address. If DNS is still not resolving in your area, you can manually enter these two lines into your hosts file and get immediate access to the correct server location.

66.227.46.190 wilderssecurity.com
66.227.46.190 www.wilderssecurity.com

While the forum is moving, the new server will only show a simple text page stating that you are at the new server, but, the forum is not yet available.

The old server might show a similar text message, stating it is the old server, or, it might show the actual forum, but, in some sort of read-only mode. It depends upon the timing.

No problem getting in with my usual bookmark -- guess DNS servers got updated unusually quickly this time. :)
