I robbed this from another forum and thought you all would enjoy it :D

How many programmers does it take to change a light bulb?

*1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed

14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently

7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs

6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ...

another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid

2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"

15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct

19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a light bulb forum

11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum

36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty

5 People to post pics of their own light bulbs

15 People to post "I can't see SH*T!" and their own light bulbs

7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs

4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's

13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"

5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy

4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"

13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs"

1 to bring politics into the discussion by adding that George W. Bush isn't the brightest bulb.

4 more to get into personal attacks over their political views.

1 moderator to lock the light bulb thread.

1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again.

:) You forgot to condemn Ben Franklin for flying his kite in that storm (it lead to the light bulb). You also forgot to blame Thomas Edison for inventing the damn thing in the first place.

Has anyone seen my lighter, the oil lamps need to be lit.

    Thanks

Easiest way to avoid the problem is to run a defilamentation scan (similar to a defrag or dehag) 3 times a day or more often if necessary.

Ha! You're a bit of a 'wag' Ed! I think it's time you 'dewagged'. You should 'dewag' regularly so your 'wagmentation' never gets above 1%!!

You both should team up and go on the road!! I am enjoying your obvious respect and admiration for each other, or maybe that's because I have just been detagged, is that a detagmentation, detmentation, or just a mental fragment of my wagmentation after the stress of a defilamentation scan??

Help guys, I'm coming to pieces here!!

    :D :D :D

Well Marja, Ed and I should be able to 'milk' this one for all it's worth. I've just been Googling for all words rhyming with frag/hag/wag, and I think we should be right until Easter! :D

:D We have the same committee who took care of the light bulb situation looking into this, should have a definitive answer, after exhausting testing in about a year.

    Thanks

I think we should look extensively into the virtues of glue as opposed to certain types of tape and vice versa before jumping so quickly (1 year o_O ) to any hasty conclusions as to what method would be best for re-assembling Marja.

Wait, are we sure this is the right forum to discuss re-assembling Marja in, I mean isn't that a hardware issue? o_O

Hmmm perhaps we should set up another committee in order to be sure this is the proper forum in which to discuss re-assembly of Marja.

I also think that cybernetics should be fully investigated.

Umm...The reassembly of Marja. Sounds sorta like something that happened to Acadia once. Ummm...Let's see? How's Marja AI Unit 001 for her new designation?

Just as I figured "All defragmentation, defenestration, wagmentation, and braggadocchio with sprinkles!! At this rate, I can build my own cybernetic NO 26 electrified Power B** Kickin', Geek-Pounding Power Boots."

Hmmmm, I think I will, then we will see if they can even fix the fan before it gets hit!!

    Guess Who

It's very distressing that all of you are making fun of a very serious problem! With all of the dim bulbs around the world that need attention, present company excepted, everyone should be offering constructive suggestions to solve this very critical situation. But no! All you do is Mock...Mock...Mock!

One of Murphy's Laws covers this topic very well. "A bird in the hand is better than two overhead."

I did add a few rhinestones, feathers, oh and heels!!

There are some strategic razors, stars, a couple of titanium hooks,(global ones) think I'll go shopping later, a girl can NEVER be too careful when going up against crazed geeks with collating cerebellums randomizing information non-synchronously after just having been just diagnosed with Schottky scrolling segmentation.

I mean, who knew?? Yes, those boots ARE made for more than WALKING!!

(Note: BoomBox rendition of Boots, a big box of fireworks for celebration, hmmmm....Oh yeah some WD30..my elbow is creaking.....
