Aside from security aspect of flash, isn't Ajax the new animation intensity designed to replace it? Sorry if my animation code skills are not what they were. Personally and locally flash has served all my machines thru automation very well. Of course, it was a magnet on the web for poking in all sorts of feelers to reach users machines and create havoc.
