A much easier way to update Flash, without even launching your browser, and also not get any extra crap installed, is how Javacool very kindly once explained.

    Go to

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash

Double click on NPSWF32_FlashUtil.exe or FlashUtil10e.exe

I have both don't know why, but either seem to function in exactly the same way. Follow the screenies, and that's it.

I've found that even when there isn't an update, it says there is, and will overwrite the same files, albeit with the identical version.
