I had a different source, but the news that the scripting environment which was allegedly "exploited" isn't going to ship with Vista is hardly going to dampen fears from techno-sceptics that Microsoft will eventually ship one of the most exploited operating systems in history.

As the OS gets more complex, the potential for exploits increases - as the big kid on the top of the fence, nothing will change - whatever M$ throws out will be a HUGE target, whether it's MONAD/MSH or something else, they WILL come under amazing attacks from virus/malware authors... delaying the release of the scripting language, or adding it only to the server edition of the OS will not prevent exploits - but we'll see how long it REALLY takes for some brainiac to release a "real" virus/malware for the upcoming vista.

Honestly, if I was writing viruses, I'd certainly NOT release one until there was a user-base to actually run the code... notoriety needs an audience - a few beta testers doesn't count as MUCH of an audience... at least YET!
